Tony Harrison

As Mercia Sound celebrated 2 years of success Tony wrote:

"I joined Mercia Sound in August 1981 which I consider to be the most important move of my entire life and
certainly haven't looked back yet. I'm generally a jovial person, easy going and also a bit of an incurable
optimist. I'm also very 'into' music of all varieties, which is certainly one of the qualifications needed for the
lob."


The programme I remember Tony for mostly was 'Saturday Night Out' a programme of dance music. Tony
was the first presenter to play my re-mixes, I never thought that I would some 6 or 7 years later have my
own programme (The Mercia Mix) almost in the same time spot, thanks Tony!
