Phil Consadine A memory that I thought prudent not to put on the guestbook site, but is as follows: A female presenter, who I am afraid I cannot remember the name of as she did not stop for that long and, who also moved on to a south coast station slipped up in a big way and no doubt assisted her own demise at Mercia. She was standing in for Jim Lee on an evening show which included a phone in. I called in as was my wont and during the off air pre-amble Jim came into the conversation as he had been mentioned several times before by previous callers, she then stated that she was getting "pi**ed off", hearing about Jim Lee. Lo and behold we went on air and she forgot herself. When I mentioned Jim again she said words to the effect of, (as I am unable to recall the exact statement), "Jim Lee must be getting pi**ed off hearing about himself". As I understand it, the following day Stuart Linnell ordered that the tape be taken off the logging machine in reception so that he could confirm what he thought he had heard the night before. As I said she moved on soon after.
